To achieve Zero-day protection, OSsurance technology monitors system calls and where they originate in your computer. Worms often cause Buffer Overflows (BoF) and launch unwanted executables. OSsurance also utilizes a white list approach, or trusted applications list, to allow only those programs that users have previously authorized to run on the computer.
